There comes a time when we are all sucked into a scam of some sort. Unfortunately we are occasionally conned by the (apparently) valid arguments. Our interest allows us to click away to learn of the amazing money makeing “schems” . Many ARE valid but sadly most are not. THey are simply ther to cream info about our finances or identity from our computers for illegal use.

Better Business Bureau investigates thousands of scams every year, from the latest gimmicks to schemes as old as the hills. Our new Scam Source (www.bbb.org/scam) is a comprehensive resource on scam investigations from BBBs around the country, with tips from BBB, law enforcement and others. You can sign up to receive our Scam Alerts by email, and you can also be a scam detective yourself by reporting scams you’ve discovered.
We’ve divided scams up into nine major categories and picked the top scam in each, plus our Scam of the Year.
Top Job Scam
BBB sees lots of secret shopper schemes, work-from-home scams, and other phony job offers, but the worst job-related scam can dash your hopes and steal your identity. Emails, websites and online applications all look very professional, and the candidate is even interviewed for the job (usually over the phone) and then receives an offer. In order to start the job, however, the candidate has to fill out a “credit report” or provide bank information for direct deposit of their “paychecks.” The online forms are nothing more than a way to capture sensitive personal data – Social Security number, bank accounts, etc. – that can easily be used for identity theft. And, of course, there is no job, either.
Top Sweepstakes and Lottery Scam
Sweepstakes and lottery scams come in all shapes and sizes, but the bottom line is almost always this: You’ve won a whole lot of money, and in order to claim it you have to send us a smaller amount of money. Oh, and keep this confidential until we’re ready to announce your big winnings. This year’s top sweepstakes scam was undoubtedly the email claiming to be from Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg announcing that the recipient was the winner of $1 million from the popular social networking site. These kinds of scams often use celebrities or other famous names to make their offer seem more genuine. If you aren’t sure, don’t click on the link but instead go directly to the homepage of the company mentioned. If they are really giving away $1 million, there will be some kind of announcement on their website. But don’t waste too much time looking.
Top Social Media/Online Dating Scam
On the Internet, it’s easy to pretend to be someone you are not. Are you really friends with all of your “Friends” on Facebook? Do you have a lot of personal information on a dating site? With so much information about us online, a scammer can sound like they know you. There are tons of ways to use social media for scams, but one this year really stands out because it appeals to our natural curiosity…and it sounds like it’s coming from a friend. Viral videos claiming to show everything from grisly footage of Osama bin Laden’s death to the latest celebrity hijinks have shown up on social media sites, often looking as if they have been shared by a friend. When you click on the link, you are prompted to “upgrade your Flash player,” but the file you end up downloading contains a worm that logs into your social media account, sends similar messages to your friends, and searches for your personal data. The next time you see a sensational headline for the latest viral video, resist the urge to peek.
Top Home Improvement Scam
Always near the top of BBB complaint data are home improvement contractors who often leave your home worse than they found it. They usually knock on your door with a story or a deal – the roofer who can spot some missing shingles on your roof, the paver with some leftover asphalt who can give you a great deal on driveway resealing. Itinerant contractors move around, keeping a step ahead of the law…and angry consumers. The worst are those who move in after a natural disaster, taking advantage of desperate homeowners who need immediate help and may not be as suspicious as they would be under normal circumstances. A large percentage of BBB’s Accredited Businesses are home contractors who want to make sure you know they are legitimate, trustworthy and dependable. Find one at www.bbb.org/search.
Top Check Cashing Scam
Two legitimate companies – Craig’s List and Western Union – are used for an inordinate amount of scamming these days, and especially check cashing scams. Here’s how it works: Someone contacts you via a Craig’s List posting, maybe for a legitimate reason like buying your old couch or perhaps through a scam like hiring you as a secret shopper. Either way, they send you a check for more than the amount they owe you, and they ask you to deposit it into your bank account and then send them the difference via Western Union. A deposited check takes a couple of days to clear, whereas wired money is gone instantly. When the original check bounces, you are out whatever money you wired…and you’re still stuck with the old couch.
Top Phishing Scam
“Phishing” is when you receive a suspicious phone call asking for personal information or an email that puts a virus on your computer to hunt for your data. It’s almost impossible to avoid them if you have a telephone or an email account. But the most pernicious phishing scam this year disguised itself as official communication from NACHA – the National Automated Clearing House Association – which facilitates the secure transfer of billions of electronic transactions every year. The email claims one of your transactions did not go through, and it hopes you react quickly and click on the link before thinking it through. It may take you to a fake banking site “verify” you account information, or it may download malware to infiltrate your computer.
Top Identity Theft Scam
There are a million ways to steal someone’s identity. This one has gotten so prevalent that many hotels are posting warnings in their lobby. Here’s how it works: You get a call in your hotel room in the middle of the night. It’s the front desk clerk, very apologetic, saying their computer has crashed and they need to get your credit card number again, or they must have gotten the number wrong because the transaction won’t go through, and could you please read the number back so they can fix the problem? Scammers are counting on you being too sleepy to catch on that the call isn’t from the hotel at all, but from someone outside who knows the direct-dial numbers for the guest rooms. By the time morning rolls around and you are clear-headed, your credit card has been on a major shopping spree.
Top Financial Scam
In challenging economic times, many people are looking for help getting out of debt or hanging on to their home, and almost as many scammers appear to take advantage of desperate situations. Because the federal government announced or expanded several mortgage relief programs this year, all kinds of sound-alike websites have popped up to try to fool consumers into parting with their money. Some sound like a government agency, or even part of BBB or other nonprofit consumer organization. Most ask for an upfront fee to help you deal with your mortgage company or the government (services you could easily do yourself for free), and almost all leave you in more debt than when you started.
Top Sales Scam
Sales scams are as old as humanity, but the Internet has introduced a whole new way to rip people off. Penny auctions are very popular because it seems like you can get something useful – cameras, computers, etc. – for way below retail. But you pay a small fee for each bid (usually 50₵ to $1.00) and if you aren’t the winner, you lose that bid money. Winners often are not even the top bidder, just the last bidder when time runs out. Although not all penny auction sites are scams, some are being investigated as online gambling. BBB recommends you treat them the same way you would legal gambling in a casino – know exactly how the bidding works, set a limit for yourself, and be prepared to walk away before you go over that limit.
Scam of the Year
Yep, it’s us – the BBB phishing scam. Hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions, of people have gotten emails that very much look like an official notice from BBB. The subject line says something like “Complaint Against Your Business,” and the instructions tell the recipient to either click on a link or open an attachment to get the details. If the recipient does either, a malicious virus is launched on their computer…a virus that can steal banking information, passwords and other critical pieces of information needed for cyber-theft. BBB is working with security consultants and federal law enforcement to track down the source of these emails, and has already shut down dozens of hijacked websites. Anyone who has opened an attachment or clicked on a link should run a complete system scan using reputable anti-virus software. If your computer is networked with others, all machines on the network should be scanned, as well.

CBS Atlanta Undercover Investigation Reveals No Oversight of Used Mattress Industry
By Jeff Chirico, CBS Atlanta Investigative Reporter
POSTED: 10:36 pm EDT May 16, 2011
UPDATED: 10:33 am EDT May 17, 2011
An exclusive CBS Atlanta undercover investigation found mattresses sold as new were filled with stained, moldy and smelly mattress parts.
CBS Atlanta sent two undercover employees posing as customers into Mattress 4 Sale in Forest Park. The undercover team asked the store manager, Anna Thomas, if the beds were new. Thomas said, “They’re new. Yes, ma’am. We manufacture them ourselves.”
After purchasing two mattresses for $233, CBS Atlanta took them to Champion Cleaning Systems — a professional cleaning company in Sharpsburg.
Certified, master cleaner Jeremy Reets cut the pristine covers off the mattresses revealing dirty, smelly and stained materials underneath. Reets conducted a test revealing one mattress had mold in it.
Reets said he is disgusted by what he found. “If I saw that on the street I wouldn’t touch it much less sleep on it,” said Reets. He said he believes there are unhealthy amounts of bacteria in the mattresses.
Garey Clark of Clark Pest Control couldn’t find evidence of live or dead bed bugs but said it is very possible for bed bugs to be transferred through the use of used mattress materials.
Thomas defended her claim that the mattresses were new. “I tell [customers] they’re new because that’s the best of my knowledge. I’m not going to say they’re refurbished if I don’t know that they are,” said Thomas.
But outside the factory that supplies Mattress 4 Sale stores, CBS Atlanta found piles of used mattresses.
Owner Kamal Shelbayah told CBS Atlanta reporter Jeff Chirico that he reuses old parts to make mattresses he calls “rebuilts.”
Georgia law allows the reuse and resale of mattress parts. Bill Cloud, spokesman for the Governor’s Office of Consumer Protection, said state laws regulating the used mattress industry were repealed in 1996. Part of the repealed laws required mattress manufacturers to sanitize used parts before reusing them.
“As a legislator, I’m appalled at that,” said State Representative Ralph Long III who represents the district in Southwest Atlanta where the mattress factory is located
“People deserve to know what’s inside their mattresses. This is unacceptable,” said Long.
CBS Atlanta’s findings prompted Long to call a meeting with Shelbayah.
“I’m embarrassed to have this in my district,” said Long to Shelbayah. “I saw something I do not want my children sleeping on.”
Shelbayah defended his business. “I don’t sell new mattresses. I sell rebuilt mattress. I manufacture rebuilt mattresses,” said Shelbayah during the meeting. Shelbayah said he is helping those who can’t afford expensive new mattresses by offering rebuilt mattresses at a cheaper price.
While giving CBS Atlanta a tour of his facility, Shelbayah explained how he uses old parts and new material to create rebuilt beds. He said the old parts are sanitized before they’re used.
Shelbayah denied that he or his salespeople are trying to pass the mattresses off as new.
However, the mattresses CBS Atlanta purchased do not have the federally-required tags indicating the beds contain used materials.
Rep. Long said he will introduce legislation to regulate the industry.

Got this from a friend, who git it from a friend etc…
Seems feasable so I decided to pass it on…
Is this a bullet hole?
Wednesday, I approached my truck from the passenger side to place my computer bag (aka my man purse) on the front passenger seat.
As I reached to open the door I noticed there was a hole right under my door handle.
My first thought was, “someone has shot my truck!”
I began to think about it and inspect it a little closer. Then the ‘light’ slowly began to come on.
I phoned my friend who owns a body shop and asked if he had any vehicles with damage to the doors that looked like a bullet hole.
“Yes, I see it all the time. Thieves have a punch and place it right under the door handle, knock a hole through, reach in and unlock it, just as if they have a key. No alarms, broken glass or anything”.
I then placed a call to my insurance agent and explained it to him. I was puzzled that they left my GPS and all other belongings. Here is where it gets scary!
“Oh no”, he said. “They want the break-in to be so subtle that you don’t even realize it. They look at your GPS to see where ‘home’ is. They know what you drive, so they go to your home and if your vehicle isn’t there, they assume you aren’t either and break in your home.”
He said they can even give you the courtesy of re-locking your doors for you. They will leave a purse or wallet and only take one or two credit cards.
By the time you realize there has been a theft, they may have already had a couple days, or more, to use them.
So, periodically walk around your car; daily – if you are in a shopping centre or other parking area.
Report thefts immediately… your bank w/missing cheque numbers, your credit card agencies, police, and insurance companies, etc. And set your home address for a street nearby.
This is what the hole looks like.
“They” have a new way to rob you now!

Watching the TV or reading newspapers is one of the most destructive things you can do for your mental and emotional well being but who knows what good may come of this.
Just put your mouse on a city, almost anywhere in the world, and the newspaper headlines pop up.
Double click and the page gets larger.
You can read the entire paper on some if you click on the right place.
You can spend forever here. Also, if you look at the European papers, the far left side of Germany will pop up as The Stars & Stripes (European edition, of course).
AND, this site changes every day with the publication of new editions of the paper.
Through a special agreement with more than 800 newspapers worldwide, the Newseum displays these front pages each day on its website. The front pages are in their original, unedited form, and some may contain material that is deemed objectionable to some visitors. Discretion is advised.

New World Order architect, Zbigniew Brzezinski, says it is easier to kill a million people than to control a million people. Many are alarmed at that statement but for the wrong reason.
Analysis by G. Edward Griffin, 2009 August 29 On November 17th, 2008, Zbignew Brzezinski, a New World Order architect and a founder of the Rockefeller-controlled Trilateral Commission, addressed Chatham House, (the British counterpart of the American Council on Foreign Relations) and said: “I once put it rather pungently, and I was flattered that the British Foreign Secretary repeated this, as follows: … namely, in early times, it was easier to to control a million people, literally it was easier to control a million people than physically to kill a million people. Today, it is infinitely easier to to kill a million people than to control a million people. It is easier to kill than to control….”
When this statement arrived on the Internet a few months later, it was widely circulated with shock and alarm. It certainly was an attention getter, and it was assumed by many to be proof that Brzezinski and his fellow New World Order elitists were calling for the killing of millions of people. Fortunately, some of the news sources carried a link to the audio recording of his speech, so it was possible to listen to his entire presentation to see if he really did say what was attributed to him. Unfortunately, not many of the Internet dispatchers took the time to listen. If they had, they would have realized that Brzezinski was merely making an honest and accurate assessment of historical fact. Like it or not, in modern times it is easier to kill than to control a million people. So, why the hoopla?
That, however, is not the end of the story. When we carefully listen to the rest of this speech, we realize Brzezinski is saying that control of the masses is the real objective of the New World Order, and he is lamenting the fact that it is so difficult now that almost every nation and culture has become politically aware. He recalls those days-gone-by when this was not so, when the masses neither knew nor cared about politics and could be controlled simply by force of arms and economic coercion. Under those conditions, controlling people was easier, he says. Now, however, when almost everyone believes they should participate in their own political destiny via the vote, the process has become much more difficult.
He is, of course, entirely correct in that assessment. Although he did not elaborate, he could have continued by reminding this elite audience of facts they know so well: that now it also is necessary to control the media, the educational system, the leadership of all major political parties, and even the systems by which ballots are counted in order to keep the masses content with the illusion of determining their own political destiny.
He devoted the balance of his speech primarily to the concept that the United States should and will continue to be the leader among nations in the solving of all international problems, including economic problems, but always within the context of strengthening global governance and building a global monetary system. It was the CFR/Chatham House mantra that is the norm for such gatherings.
Even though Brezinsky is not here calling for the killing of a million people, when he does discuss that option, there is a remarkable coldness about his words. Like all collectivists, he is academically dispassionate when it comes to the sacrifice of human life and freedom so long as it can be theorized to be for the greater good of society – or, in this case, the New World Order.
His speech can be heard here. (audio)

Adobe Reader X (10.0) (link to FTP-server) is now available for Windows, Mac OS X and Android – a Linux version has yet to be released. The most exciting change is the sandbox (included only in the Windows version), which should improve the PDF reader’s overall security. It aims to prevent vulnerabilities in Reader from being used to infect PCs. The function, dubbed ‘Protected Mode’ by Adobe, blocks attempts by infected PDFs to write and execute code. It should also prevent infected files from making registry changes. Future versions will reportedly control read access to prevent attackers from reading confidential data from the file system.
Sandbox functionality has been achieved by implementing a range of technologies. The actual PDF process for rendering text and images now runs in a user-independent process with restricted privileges. If specific actions need to be performed outside the sandbox environment, the renderer calls additional ‘broker processes‘ to interact with the outside world. The broker process checks whether the requested action is permitted against a set security policy. Previously, injected malicious code was executed with the user’s privileges and had unrestricted access to the entire system.
Adobe released version 9.4.1, which fixed 19 vulnerabilities just days ago. In introducing a sandbox, Adobe is reacting to the multiplicity of criminal attacks on Adobe Reader, which exploit vulnerabilities to infect Windows PCs with malware. The vendor is frank about the fact that the sandbox is not bullet-proof. However, in recent months attacks on Reader have already started to drop, with Java vulnerabilities taking over as the most popular target for drive-by virus downloads.
The new version of the free Reader also includes additional functions. Acrobat is no longer required to add comments and notes – Reader X is now able to perform this function. Experienced users can now also customise printer options in greater detail. One example – in RGB, grey is interpreted as a mixture of different colours. It is now possible to specify grey as an ink-saving K-only. Like Acrobat X Pro, Reader now contains a pallet area for performing functions such as sending PDF files as emails.
The Reader browser plug-in has a semi-transparent ‘heads up display’ containing commonly used functions. A very old irritation has finally been confined to the dustbin of history – pressing Ctrl+P in the browser plug-in now launches Reader’s print dialogue, rather than the browser’s.

At the 27th Chaos Communication Congress (27C3) in Berlin, security researcher Julia Wolf of US company FireEye pointed out numerous, previously hardly known, security problems in connection with Adobe’s PDF standard. For instance, a PDF can reportedly contain a database scanner that becomes active and scans a network when the document is printed on a network printer. Wolf said that the document format is also full of other surprises. For example, it is reportedly possible to write PDFs which display different content in different operating systems, browsers or PDF readers – or even depending on a computer’s language settings.
Many businesses and authorities use PDF as their standard file format for maintaining presentation consistency across heterogeneous computer environments. According to Wolf, however, the PDF standard has long had too many functions that can be exploited to launch attacks and wreak other havoc. These functions range from database connections without security features to options that can blindly trigger the execution of arbitrary programs in Acrobat Reader. The researcher said that other risks are generated through the support of inherently insecure script languages such as JavaScript, formats such as XML, RFID tags and digital rights management (DRM) technologies. According to Wolf, Adobe itself calls PDF a “container format” which may indeed hold a variety of things. For example, it is possible to integrate Flash files, which themselves offer many points of attack, as well as audio and video files.
Wolf said that there are generally many places for hiding arbitrary data and code in a PDF. The researcher explained that, for instance, all document and meta data can be read and edited via JavaScript. Even files compressed in formats such as ZIP, which allow further arbitrary objects to be embedded via comments, can reportedly be integrated. Wolf added that it is also possible to generate very small PDF files which only execute JavaScript, and that certain objects can be referenced multiple times to trigger different responses when opening a file.
In the researcher’s experience, the security debacle is made worse because most anti-virus programs are incapable of detecting malicious software in PDFs. When running tests with various known exploits, Wolf said that more than half of the 40 scanners she tested didn’t respond, even in cases where the corresponding advisories were several months old. When malicious code in JavaScript is compressed, the detection rate is apparently even lower.
Update - Adobe see the sandbox introduced with Reader X (Reader version 10.0) as the remedy for these problems, which allows code to be executed separately in ‘protected mode’.
Other security experts recommend using special tools to remove meta data from PDFs or check the file syntax for conformity issues beforehand.

This is a great article that was passed to me by a good friend.
Great intel on the Iraqi RV.
Looking like it will happen really soon.
Good luck all.

Synopsis of Where We Stand Dec. 27th 2010
There is updated Intel at the bottom…
If you are invested in the Iraqi Dinar (IQD) then you are a Currency Speculator.
What is a Currency Speculator? A currency Speculator is one who is
gambling on a rate of a certain currency. Nearly all global currency
values rise and lower in a continual ebb and flow dictated by the
global economy. Generally speaking the values only rise and lower in
the single digit percentages unless in rear cases a catastrophic event
occurs such as war.
A currency speculator looks at different economies and gambles on
potential outcome that will cause an upward trend in a given currency.
Once they make their decision based on their studies, they simple
exchange their currency for the currency they are speculating, then
watch the global foreign currency exchange market (like Forex) to know
when to sell. This practice is very much the same as trading stocks
and does carry risks. As with stock, one can minimize their rise by
simple doing their homework. For instance, there are some currencies
that are against the law to speculate, if you are not aware of this
and exchange into that currency, you will not be able to get rid of
that currency. There are also counterfeiters in all currencies and if
you do not know what to look for in a given currency, you may be
buying fancy colored paper instead of an actual currency with a value.
Another key point that you may or may not be aware of is that some
currencies have national or international restrictions placed on them,
not allowing the currency to be speculated. However a key point I want
to make here about our investment. When the PLAN was being formed back
in 2003 or before, the IQD was singled out and given a special
consideration. A mandate was granted from the IMF (International
Monetary Fund) and the US to allow the IQD to be speculated, thus
giving us in the know an opportunity of a life time.
The PLAN we speak about was developed many years ago based on the
world economy. You see, one would have to do a lot of studding of the
global history to see but there is and has been pattern and a need to
make global economic adjustments every decade or so based on where the
economy is at a given time. When these occur, most of the global
population is unaware of the adjustments and if you were paying
attention, all you would notice is your governments local economy
seems to start doing better. The last time this occurred was after
Kuwait was liberated. There was a much smaller window but the fact
remains that there were folks the speculated the Kuwait dinar and made
millions. In this instance, the need for the global financial
adjustment was slight.
As you know by listening and reading in the news, this financial
crisis is wide spread and touches every world economy in a major way.
The architects of the plan realized the depth and breadth of this
serious economic crisis. So the design in this case is huge because it
has to be, to jump start economies around the globe. Iraq became the
natural target for the needed economic adjustment for many reasons.
First and foremost was to oust Saddaam and try him for crimes agent
Humanity. The second was when he took control of Iraq; he pulled all
of Iraq’s currency and printed his own currency with his face on all
of the notes. At this time the standard IQD was pulled off the
international market and shelved. The IMF gave it a program rate of
1180 IQD to $1.00 USD (even as far back as this was, the insanely low
rate could have been part of the PLAN). This was a major decline in
the value which was $3.22 IQD to $1.00 USD.
What took place from that period until now, is as they say, the rest
is history. So now we are at the present and there is a ton of people
invested in the IQD (actually less than 8% of the total global
population) wanting to know when and if Iraq is going to RI/RV their
currency.
History and why we know Iraq will RI/RV?
First I want to point out the statement RI/RV. RI represents a
Reinstatement of the IQD, which means Iraq would reinstate the Dinar
back to per-Saddam value of $3.22 IQD to $1.00 USD. An RV represents a
Revalue of the Dinar meaning that they will give their currency a
higher value than it once had before the IMF gave them a program rate
in the beginning of the Saddaam take over.
There are as many opinions on the topic of RI or RV as there are
forums. Along with that only 8% of the global population is invested
in IQD. By design, the entire global population cannot know about this
and take part because Iraq could not cover that many people being
involved. Nor do they have enough IQD for everyone to own some. Just
as any country, Iraq knows exactly how much currency they have
printed. So to curve speculators Iraq and other governments around
the globe have put out false information and propaganda to steer the
attention away from what is happening. However, for this to work for
the global economy, Iraq and the IMF needed a certain amount of
speculators, you and me to accomplish two things.
First Iraq needed us to hold the rate of the IQD stable once they got
rid of the Saddaam currency and put their original IQD back out there.
We made it stable buy purchasing it through currency exchanges. The
daily auction Iraq has been having is to establish a rate and then
show the IMF they can hold it stable. The IMF needs a certain amount
of speculators; you and me, to boost the economies around the globe,
by spending our new found wealth once all is done and Iraq adjust
their currency. Just image the impact it is going to have on the us
economy when over 1million new millionaires start spending their new
found wealth on housing, cars, and goods. That is not to mention the
relief the US government will realize from the estimated 7 trillion
IQD they hold in the US Foreign Currency Reserves, as well as all of
the taxes they will be collection from you and me and this is going to
happen in every country on the globe. You start to understand the
magnitude and the full breath of the PLAN…
Okay, what is in it for Iraq:
Well first and foremost, we removed a dictator that ran the country
without regard to humanity amongst the Iraqi people. He kept them in
poverty while he ran one of the most corrupt regimes on the planet.
Murder, corruption, fear, and hunger were a way of life for many
years.
Lead by the US, the UN and many counters from around the globe
liberated Iraq from this dictator and brought him to Iraqi justice,
you know the rest.
The collaboration of forces set the stage for Iraq to become the great
nation it once was. IT is Iraq’s desire and continual effort to become
an upstanding member of the International community once again. They
have made great strides as they have worked to get rid of the many
atrocities and problems the former regime left in its’ wake. Iraq has
worked methodically to eliminate the many road blocks that stand
between them and regaining their once proud heritage as a member of
the International community and in good standing.
1. There were many resolutions that needed attention
2. There were and still are some sanctions placed on them
3. They were in Chapter 7 protection
4. They had to rework their Constitution
5. There was considerable debt owed to the world governments
6. They had to grasp a full understanding of their financial
books, after many years of corrupt book-keeping and the loss of
billions of IQD.
The Culmination
There were agreements made with Iraq and the world, namely the UN and
the IMF. The UN and IMF explained to the Iraqi leaders of the plan and
their role. Iraq says how can w do this, we have nothing but the oil
we have in the ground and no other commodity to allow us sell and get
funds to rebuild our land to a point where we can start to produce oil
to pay back all of the debt the previous regime has left us with.
The UN forces back by the US troops said we have a plan and here it is…
1. See there is a thing called the Paris Club, which is a group
of 19 major governments from around the globe. All of which you, Iraq,
owe a great deal of money too. In the billions in fact. Well we have
put together an agreement that says we, the 19 world economies will
forgive your debit as long as you allow each of us to hold your IQD in
our Currency Reserves and allow us to eventually return the IQD we are
holding for a revalued dinar rate. Furthermore we will not release our
entire dinar holdings on you all at once. It will be a controlled
return over a period of 24 month. (For this piece, which Iraqi agreed
to, they have to RI/RV by Dec. 31st 2010 or the forgiven Debt will be
due at once).
2. The IMF will grant you short term loans so you have funds to work with.
3. We will lift Chapter 7 only after you accomplish several things
a. Get your government seated and working
b. 2011 Budget worked out so we see you have included the RI/RV
c. Border disputes with Kuwait
d. Show that you have made great strides in getting the HCL completed.
4. Iraq if you do all of these things, we the UN/IMF will allow
you to, at a minimum reinstate you currency at the $3.22 rate it once
was at prior to the former regime destroying its value in the
international market. We will also allow you to add 20% for cost of
living increases that have taken place over the years that your IQD
has been out of circulation.
5. As an added incentive, based on the quality and quantity of
crude you have in the ground, we will allow you to revalue you
currency instead of reinstating it to a value within reason. We are
allowing this because based on our investigation of your oil fields…
You Iraq will be one of the richest if not the richest countries on
the globe. It is your choice as to where you want to revalue your IQD
but our projections estimate you could withstand a rate as high as
$16.00 IQD to as low as $1.00 USD. We would highly recommend to you
that a rate that high will cause many problems and have inherent risk.
With all of the news and knowledge regarding your economic potential
it would be way to risky to come out with a rate lower then you
previous value for $3.22 IQD to $1.00 USD because anyone with enough
backing could come in and buy up all of your currency, there by
controlling Iraq. It is our opinion that the rate needs to be such to
curve further speculation but also be something manageable in the
short and long term.
6. We feel a managed float over at least a 24 month period of
time, with a controllable rate for now will accomplish what is in the
best interest of all. It will allow sustained growth for the Iraqi
economy, it will allow Iraq to become a member of the international
community once again, and it will allow the IMF to boost the world
economy. Also, it will keep someone from coming in and buying up your
country…
Summarization:
Iraq has been given a choice,
1. The IMF is saying to Iraq, we are granting you the ability to
reinstate your currency at the pre-Saddaam rate of $3.22 with a 20%
increase for cost adjustment for the years it was out of circulation.
Or because of the potential we see with your economy, we will also
allow you to revalue your currency to a rate within reason. If you do
this by December 31st 2010, we will agree to allow the Paris Club to
forgive your debt and we will lift you from Chapter 7 sanctions. Thus
allowing you to rejoin the international community with your currency
and trade.
Sanctions that will be lifted:
a. Allows you to have an international recognized currency
i. Which allows you to trade on the Forex
ii. Allows Iraqi stock to be traded on the international market
iii. Allows all of the signed contracts for the oil fields, utilities
reconstruction, road construction, building construction to begin
b. Allows you to receive global shipments from all of the ships
that have been sitting in your ports.
c. Allows you to finally pay your government employees
d. Allow you to load the smart cards that will pay the Iraqi
citizens living expenses for the short term, also pay the retired
citizens. All of which have not been reviving anything for some time.
At this point, Iraq has agreed to everything and we are now in the
last phases of this plan. We are waiting for Iraq to finally pull the
trigger and release the RI/RV between now and Dec. 31st.
I believe the World community and the UN/IMF are not really leaving
Iraq a choice and they are tired of Iraq dragging their feet… But, if
for some reason they don’t pull the trigger by Dec. 31st, this coming
Friday… According to the PLAN this was to happen in 2009… Not sure of
all that would come down on them but it certainly would be the end of
the current GOI…
The latest Intel we have received is that the message that came out
yesterday that the GOI will be breaking for two weeks starting
tomorrow is false.
PD claims that they have proof that the GOI is meeting right now and
will be all this week.
They are still expecting the RV to happen before Friday and the very
bottom rate, the lowest it could be is $3.22.
SO we wait and watch…
Sincerely,
Michael

Earthwise Power Savers is bringing you the latest innovation in Energy Savings Technology.
Our Power Saver Unit fine tunes the electricity that is received at your home or business meter.
This fine tuning reduces heat generation, amperage and results in reduced Electricity consumption.
The Problem we are having today is that up to 30% of the billable electricity consumed in homes and businesses is non-productive and unusable.
What this means is that even though you pay for all of your energy, you only use around 70% of it.
This unused, non-productive energy wastes money and also shortens the life of inductive equipment such as motors, HVAC equipment, pumps, and other major appliances.
“Over $80 billion dollars of electricity is unusable energy, but billable in the U.S.” – U.S. Dept. of Energy -
The solution is to install and Earthwise Power Saver Unit and save up to 35% on your electricity bill each month and put these savings into your pocket.
Would saving 35% every month on one of your biggest household or business bills be of interest to you?
Imagine the money you will save year in year out!

Mention the word “astrology” and skeptics go into an epileptic fit. The idea that someone’s personality could be imprinted at birth according to the position of the sun, moon and planets has long been derided as “quackery” by the so-called “scientific” community which resists any notion based on holistic connections between individuals and the cosmos.
According to the conventional view, your genes and your parenting determine your personality, and the position of planet Earth at the time of your birth has nothing to do with it.
Then again, conventional scientists don’t believe the position of the moon has anything to do with life on Earth, either. They dismiss the wisdom that farmers have known for ages — that planting seeds or transplanting living plants in harmony with the moon cycles results in higher crop yields. Even the seeds inside humans are strongly influenced by the moon, as menstruation cycles and moon cycles are closely synchronized (28 days, roughly).
Researchers demonstrate scientific principle of astrology
Skeptics must be further bewildered by the new research published in Nature Neuroscience and conducted at Vanderbilt University which unintentionally provides scientific support for the fundamental principle of astrology — namely, that the position of the planets at your time of birth influences your personality.
In this study, not only did the birth month impact personality; it also resulted in measurable functional changes in the brain.
This study, conducted on mice, showed that mice born in the winter showed a “consistent slowing” of their daytime activity. They were also more susceptible to symptoms that we might call “Seasonal Affective Disorder.”
The study was carried out by Professor of Biological Sciences Douglas McMahon, graduate student Chris Ciarleglio, post-doctoral fellow Karen Gamble and two additional undergraduate students, none of whom believe in astrology, apparently. They do, of course, believe in science, which is why all their study findings have been draped in the language of science even though the findings are essentially supporting principles of astrology.
“What is particularly striking about our results is the fact that the imprinting affects both the animal’s behavior and the cycling of the neurons in the master biological clock in their brains,” said Ciarleglio. This is one of the core principles of astrology: That the position of the planets at the time of your birth (which might be called the “season” of your birth) can actually result in changes in your brain physiology which impact lifelong behavior.
Once again, such an idea sounds preposterous to the scientifically trained, unless of course they discover it for themselves, at which point it’s all suddenly very “scientific.” Instead of calling it “astrology,” they’re now referring to it as “seasonal biology.”
How to discredit real science
It all reminds me of the discovery of cold fusion in 1989 by Fleishmann and Pons, who were widely ridiculed by the arrogant hot fusion researchers who tried to destroy the credibility (and careers) of cold fusion researchers (http://www.naturalnews.com/025925_c…). After the very idea of “cold fusion” was attacked and demolished by these arrogant scientists, it soon returned under a new name: Low-Energy Nuclear Reactions (LENR).
LENR has now been verified as true by none other than the U.S. Navy — along with hundreds of other researchers around the world (see link above). And yet, even today, the conventional scientific community still insists cold fusion doesn’t exist and cold fusion researchers are frauds.
Just as there is a solid scientific basis for LENR, there is a scientific basis for astrology, too. The relationship between the Earth, Moon and Sun naturally alter light exposure, temperature, gravitational pull and other conditions that may be sensed by living organisms. To believe in astrology, all that’s really required is to grasp the basic concepts of the interrelationships between all living things. Does the position of the sun or moon influence life on Earth? Of course it does: Life as we know it wouldn’t even exist without the moon tugging on Earth and preventing its rotational axis from shifting around to the point where radical changes in seasonal temperatures would make life far more challenging. (The moon, in other words, is one of the key “stabilizers” of life on planet Earth because it tends to stabilize the seasons and keep the Earth on a steady rotational plane.)
None of this, of course, means that the position of Saturn today is going to make you win the lottery or find a new love. That’s the tabloid version of astrology, not real astrology.
Don’t confuse tabloid astrology with real astrology
Even astronomy has its tabloid versions, too, which are entirely non-scientific. For example, every model of our solar system that I’ve ever seen is a wildly inaccurate tabloid version of reality, with planet sizes ridiculously exaggerated and planet distances not depicted to scale. These silly, non-scientific solar system models imprint a kind of solar system mythology into the minds of schoolchildren and even school teachers. Virtually no one outside the communities of astrophysics and astronomy has any real grasp of the enormity of not merely our solar system, but of our galaxy and the space between neighboring galaxies.
To show a giant sun the size of a basketball, with a depiction of the Earth as a marble-sized planet three inches away is the astronomical equivalent of a gimmicky horoscope claiming you’re going to win the lottery today because you were born under the sign of Pisces. Both are fictions. And both are an insult to real science.
In fact, even the whole idea that an “electron” is a piece of physical matter, made up of other “particles” is an insult to real science. The sobering truth of the matter is that “particle physics” doesn’t have much to do with actual particles at all. It’s all about energies that might, on occasion, vibrate in just the right way so that they momentarily appear to take on the illusion of a particle as measured by our observers — observers who inevitably alter the outcome of the entire experiment, by the way, once again proving the interrelated nature of things in our universe, including observer and experiment.
The horoscope predictions in the Sunday paper — as well as much of the hilarious mythology found in the modern description of an atom — are both simplified, comic-book versions of a larger truth — the truth that we live in a holistic universe where every bit of physical matter, every bit of energy and every conscious mind impacts the rest of the universe in subtle ways. There is no such thing as an individual who is isolated from the cosmos, because we are of the cosmos and we exist as the physical manifestations of energies that, for our lifetimes, are momentarily organized as beings.
We are made of star stuff, says Carl Sagan. He he’s right: We are not only made of star stuff, we are influenced by that stuff, too. And finally, modern science is beginning to catch up to this greater truth that astrologers have known since the dawn of human existence on our tiny planet.

by Alexis Baden-Mayer – Organic Consumers Association
The earth’s atmosphere is polluted with 390 ppm of CO2, well past the dangerous tipping point of 350 ppm.
If the world’s 12 billion acres of farms and pastures were transitioned to organic, we could pull 50 ppm of that carbon down from the atmosphere and store it safely in the soil.
Putting CO2 back where it belongs in the soil could mitigate greenhouse gas emissions at a rate of 6 billion tons of carbon per year.
Here’s how it works:
Compost, Not Chemicals
Synthetic fertilizers destroy soil life and release greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Organic farming uses natural fertilizers to restore soil health and clean greenhouse gases from the atmosphere.
Forage, Not Factory Farms
Animals packed into factory farms generate oceans of greenhouse gas polluting waste. Animals that forage on pasture fertilize the soil with their waste and encourage the growth of deep-rooted perennial grasses that draw carbon down from the atmosphere.
Farmers’ Movements, Not Monsanto
The world’s 1.5 billion family farmers and 1 billion farm workers are the caretakers of the skills, knowledge and biodiversity needed to make the great transition from fossil-fuel fertilizers and factory farms to organic farming and ranching. But, their power will be lost if we can’t stop transnational corporations like Monsanto from genetically engineering their plants and animals, forcing them to buy expensive chemical pesticides and fertilizers, enslaving them with debt, pushing them off their land, and stealing their water.
Zero Waste, Zero Emissions
The number one issue for farmers — and the key to drawing carbon down from the atmosphere to slow climate change — is soil fertility. If farmers are going to switch from fossil fuel fertilizers to organic compost, compost has to be less expensive and in greater supply. Food scraps and yard waste make great compost, there’s tons of it, and it’s free. We just need to rescue it from the landfills, incinerators and power generators. We can do it ourselves and we can pass local laws to make composting mandatory.

Statement of Policies non-compete clause ruled illegal in a summary judgment that could have far reaching effects for independent contractors with other multilevel marketing (MLM) companies as well
At the heart of a large number of lawsuits in multilevel marketing (a.k.a. network marketing) enterprises, is the question of what rules should govern the business behavior of a distributor (associate, independent consultant, IBO, etc., whatever the designation in the particular company) when that distributor decides he or she wants to work with another company.
For example, here are just some of the questions that arise regarding Distributor A of Company A:
- Can a distributor for Company A participate in other MLM companies or businesses in general?
- Can a distributor of Company A “recruit” or sell the products of Company B to any other distributors in Company A?
- If so, which distributors? Ones they knew before they joined Company A? Only distributors who were personally sponsored into Company A by Distributor A? Or none at all?
- If Distributor A quits or is terminated by Company A, then should there be a “non-compete” clause?
- If so, for how long? What activities would be covered by the “non-compete” clause?
These are not easy questions to answer to make sure that Distributor A has the appropriate freedoms of being an Independent Contractor while making sure that Distributor A does not hurt other distributors in Company A and other distributors in the sales organization that he built with Company A.
In Melaleuca, the associates are called “Marketing Executives” and are, like with other companies, legally defined as independent contractors. The non-compete provision in this case is defined in Melaleuca’s Statement of Policies and Definition of Terms at Policy 20.
The parties’ chief disagreement concerns the applicability and, importantly, the legality of Policy 20 of this Policy as part of Melaleuca’s Independent Marketing Executive Agreement (IMEA).
Below are some of the pertinent sections of Melaleuca’s very long Policy 20. Non-Solicitation and Conflicts of Interest as discussed in Judge Jon J. Shindurling’s Opinion, Decision and Order for Summary Judgment filed December 3rd, 2010 in Bonneville County Idaho:
Policy 20 is a lengthy section of the IMEA entitled Non-Solicitation and Conflicts of Interest. It forms the basis of Melaleuca’s complaint against the Foellers. The Foellers argue that Policy 20 contains an illegal liquidated damages provision and that Melaleuca’s cause of action is barred under Idaho law.
Policy 20 allows Melaleuca contractors to participate in other business activities while they work for Melaleuca. However, the IMEA contains a number of limitations on the competing business activities. The relevant limitation is: “During the period that their Independent Marketing Executive Agreements are in force Marketing Executives and all members of their Immediate Household are prohibited from directly, indirectly or through a third party recruiting any Melaleuca Customers or Marketing Executives to participate in any other business ventures.” –Policy 20 (a)(i).
The IMEA Melaleuca Definitions of Terms defines “recruit” as:
1) To attempt to enroll, enlist, or solicit an individual or entity to join a business, program or organization; or 2) to attempt to promote, influence or encourage an individual or entity to join a business, program or organization; or 3) to present, or participate or assist in the presentation of a business, program, organization or its products. To constitute recruiting, such efforts or attempts may be performed either directly through personal contact or indirectly through a third party.
The policy goes so far as to state that such activities are violations “even if the Marketing Executive does not know that the prospect is also a Melaleuca Customer or Marketing Executive.”
Policy 20 also states:
Violation of any provision of this Policy 20 constitutes a Marketing Executive’s voluntary resignation and cancellation of his/her Independent Marketing Executive Agreement, effective as of the date of the violation, and the forfeiture by the Marketing executive of all commissions or bonuses payable for and after the calendar month in which the violation occurred. –Policy 20(c)(i).
Note that it was this particular provision, Policy 20(c)(i) that was at the heart of Melaleuca’s Motion for Summary Judgment in their case against Rick and Natalie Foeller, NOT the whole non-compete policy. (Non-solicitation clauses are generally regarded as necessary and important parts of any MLM company’s policies.) But, this is one of the provisions that put real teeth in to Melaleuca’s whole policy.
Melaleuca argued that the quoted provisions of the IMEA allow it to demand repayment of all commission payments since June 2008, when the first violation of Policy 20 was alleged to have occurred.
The Foellers argued that the forfeiture provision of Policy 20 constitutes a liquidated damages policy and an illegal penalty.
Interestingly, the judge argued that it really didn’t matter whether the clause was a liquidated damages clause or not and ruled that the clause was not allowed by Idaho contract law in any case:
However it is not necessary for a provision to be styled as a liquidated damages clause in order for it to be an illegal penalty. “[W]here the forfeiture of damage fixed by the contract is arbitrary and bears no reasonable relation to the anticipated damage, and is exorbitant and unconscionable, it is regarded as a ‘penalty’, and the contractual provision therefore is void and unenforceable.” Magic Valley Truck Brokers, Inc. v. Meyer, 133 Idaho 110, 117, 982 p.2d 945, 952 (Ct. App 1999).
Clauses intended to punish a breaching party are not allowed in Idaho contract law.
…
Melaleuca states that the amount requested is reasonable because it exactly matches the damages Melaleuca suffered as a result of paying commissions to the Foellers. This argument is unconvincing based on the evidence currently before this court. Melaleuca seeks to retroactively take money paid to the Foellers for sales commissions; there is no argument or evidence that these commissions were not tied to profitable sales as a result of the Foellers’ work as contractors for Melaleuca or that these are recognizable damages. Rather it appears that, lacking other evidence, Policy 20(c)(1) acts solely to “deter a breach or to punish the breaching party.”
There remains a genuine issue of material fact as to what damages Melaleuca suffered as a result of the Foellers’ recruitment of Melaleuca customers and executives into Max. Summary judgment is not appropriate on this issue and will be denied.
In other words, there was no evidence presented that Melaleuca did not profit from the sales that produced those commissions, in fact, there was no evidence that Melaleuca had been damaged at all by the Foellers’ alleged breach of Policy 20. If the judge allowed Melaleuca to reclaim those commissions paid after the alleged breach of the contract, it would allow an “illegal penalty” (and policy provision) that sought only to punish the breaching party to be enforced and, very probably, an injustice to rendered.
Over the years, how many times have we heard of companies taking away a distributor’s business over alleged violations of similar rules in the company’s P&Ps?
In many of those cases, might the forfeiture of the distributor’s entire business and income stream be an “arbitrary” penalty that bears no “reasonable relation” to the real damages sustained by the company and be “exorbitant and unconscionable?” There is no question that may be true many times, and not true other times.
Should not the punishment fit the crime?
It is important that these matters be handled in a way that is just for all concerned. And that rarely is as easy as taking away a business and income stream that a distributor, and independent contractor, may have worked many years to build over policy infractions that may have cost the company little or nothing in actual damages.

Natalie Foeller’s Facebook page carried this post dated the 3rd of December:
Attention all networkers: I have been hoping that this day would come….Melaleuca sued us 1 1/2 years ago and so far has not won any motion against us. Today, they had their biggest loss. Melaleuca proudly say they never lose a case, well they sure did today! This is a huge set back for Melaleuca and a huge win for those that will come up against them in the future!

Glenn’s COMMENTS & OPINION
Mannatech (Australia and USA) did the same to me (Glenn) back in 2007.
A group of the top Mannatech distributors did not like me because I was making waves in the internet marketing and got popular on my international conference call. They made up stories and blatantly lied to Mannatech. Mannatech took their word for it did not investigate properly.
They terminated me without warning citing solicitation. I fought them, at my own cost and with no legal representation for nearly six months, and won my distributorship back again. However they could never prove fault on my behalf.
In 2008 I got a corporate job as Sales and Marketing Manager in Amega Global, a new MLM to Australia. I felt obliged to terminate myself from Mannatech due to a potential conflict of interest. The paperwork was never confirmed accepted by them.
In June 2010 (12 months later, after Mannatech’s non-solicit clause had expired) I put out some marketing info on a new MLM (LiveSmart260) to my email lists, Mannatech did it AGAIN… They attempted to put the 12 month solicitation clause after temination into effect… even though I had been terminated for 12 months!
They claimed I was only terminated from them from March 2010 when they entered my termination into their system. They would not accept the legal (effective) date on the signed termination form!
They blatantly refused to correct the termination date in their system, however, after months of bullying by Mannatech we mutually agreed on 1 Jan 2010 as the effective end of rights and responsibilites following termination (under extreme duress on my part).
Here’s My Beef
Distributor lists are NOT confidential information owned by the company. They are JOINTLY OWNED.
MLM companies say they OWN the customer list. No matterwhere it comes from. They say I have no right to use it after I cease being a distributor, even though as part of my business requirement was to build a business network at MY cost.
MLM company customer list and solicitation definitions are too draconian! They do not take into account how a business network develops. They do not even take into account relationships that existed prior to becoming a distributor with thaat company.
A HUGE change is due and I welcome the ruling against Melaleuca (a company with the MOST draconian rules I have ever seen)
I know of an Australian couple who fought Melaleuca for this same reason.. They settled out of court but they were minus $250,000 in legal fees! It apparently cost Melaleuca 10 times that!
MLM companies think that if a distributor (or ex distributor) sends an email promoting another opportunity (MLM or otherwise) to one of their distributors then that distributor will stop producing an income for them.
That is totally false and built totally on fear of loss!
If THAT distributor is so ready to jump to another company/opportunity then so be it. They were not locked in in the first place and ANY opportunity that came along would interest them, from me or otherwise.
I make the comparison to a Catholic talking to a Jew with the intent to being converted to Judaism. If it was meant to happen then let it happen. If not the Catholic will stay with their faith and say thanks but no thanks. Everyone is still happy.
I believe this is how it should be in MLM. Let people make up their own mind and get on with business of seeking and keeping happy customers and ditributors, not trying to hold onto the ones that are not interested anyhow.
That’s my rant for now… I could talk on this topic for hours. I will not bore you with more here so call me to talk to me if this has happened to you or you need advice as to how to proceed if it IS happening to you.

SEO is a race without a finish line. The reason for this is that the search engines are always trying to find ways of making the quality of their search better for users.
This means that many of the SEO tactics used 5 years ago no longer hold any relevance for your content – yet, some SEO professionals continue to pedal them, and charge you for the work. It’s important you’re aware of what’s useful and what isn’t when it comes to results; some of these tricks are simply a waste of time, but others could result in severe penalties from search engines.
Duplicating content
You might be tempted to use a piece of content that ranks well – or an excerpt from it – more than once on your site in order to boost your search results. It’s important not to do this. If you need to restate a point, then make sure you paraphrase, as search engines can tell if you’re duplicating information, and will penalise you for it.
Cloaking
This refers to the practice of presenting search engines with a version of the site that’s different to what the user sees. “Search engines index pages based on their content,” explains Tim Barnett, managing partner of 2Binteractive, “but trying to display a lot of good content on a web site can often detract from the aesthetic value of a site, and sometimes the actual content you want to display is different to the keywords you want to target.”
Cloaking is a relatively old trick, but is still used by some disreputable SEO professionals to boost search rankings. There are a number of ways it can be done – presenting the search engine’s IP address with a completely different site, or displaying different pages depending on the users/search engine’s web browser ¬– but the principle with each is basically the same.
One easily detectable cloaking method is the use of hidden text: ie positioning keyword-rich text in white against the white background of a page, so that it can be read by a search engine, but not by the user. Cloaking must be avoided at all costs; it is gravely looked down upon by search engines, and can result in your site being ‘black listed’ , and removed from results entirely.
Keyword stuffing
It’s possible to have too many keywords. Search engine algorithms are constantly being developed to be better at figuring out how relevant a piece of content is. Search now looks beyond keywords to figure this out. So, if you fill all your content with as many keywords as you can manage, you not only risk making it less readable and alienating your visitors, you’ll probably also be penalised in the search rankings.
“Using appropriate keywords in content is good, but stuffing with keywords looks manipulative and provides a poor user experience,” says Mark Baartse, consulting director of search firm First Rate. “Unfortunately a lot of people still recommend these techniques. If you hear people talking about ‘keyword density’ and ‘latent semantic indexing’, then run away! Good quality content with a natural use of keywords is recommended.”
Gateway pages
This is when a web designer sets up brief, keyword-rich redirect pages in between a link and its destination. “They are often orphan pages (i.e. have no other links to them from within the site navigation etc),’ says Barnett, ‘and are simply used to get people to a website.”
“There was a big case a number of years ago when BMW was given some poor SEO advice and had set up a doorway page to their site – it was subsequently banned by Google if nothing else, I think BMW was simply used by Google as a high profile case to say to people “yes we are serious about banning sites who do the wrong thing.”’
While search engine algorithms themselves might not account for these pages in search, if your site were to be reviewed by an actual person from a search company, you’d face penalties as severe as those BMW had to deal with.
Hiding links
A key part of gaining momentum in search is the number of links associated with your site – both to and from it. As with keywords, there are only so many links that you can have on your site before it begins to interfere with how effectively it engages with visitors.
“Google hates nothing more than link dishonesty,” says James Richardson of Optimising, “and hiding of links in any way will always result in a significant ranking penalty.”
The practice of hiding links is similar to the practice of cloaking text. The links are still on the page, but may have been reduced to a miniscule size or coloured to blend in with the background. Search engine algorithms will pick up on this as a manipulative practice, and will penalise sites that use it.

Web design is easy to get wrong. If you want your website to capture the attention of visitors, it’s best to take a couple of steps back and gain some perspective on what it’s purpose actually is. It can be very easy to get caught up in the details. Here are some points to consider.
1. Looks are important
You may not like to judge a book by it’s cover, but online, appearance is the most important thing after search placement. If your site doesn’t look right on first impression, visitors won’t stick around long enough to find out if what you’re offering is relevant to their search term. The very fact that Google has recently introduced Instant Preview – a function to allow searchers to vet websites according to a thumbnail of their homepage – is proof of this.
2. Design is about more than just looks
Design doesn’t just refer to the way your homepage looks. It helps to think of your website as a structure, like a building: it’s design is like the architectural blueprints and floor plans of a house. In the same way you need to consider which way the door to each room opens, you need to make sure that each page on your site links to the others in a logical way. This is easier to stay on top of if you remember that less is more with web design. Start with the basics and work your way up.
3. Don’t be too flash
Flash may look great, but it’s not very practical. When people visit your site, they want to be able to find what they’re looking for quickly and easily; lavish animation just presents another barrier. Richard Graham from My Sydney Detour discovered this the hard way. He went through countless web designers, all of whom tried to make his business’s website look and feel as interactive as possible, at the cost of simple navigation. After taking some sound advice, Graham stripped the gimmick right down to a simple theme, and straightforward navigation. Have a look: it’s clean, simple and effective.
4. Avoid clutter
Don’t have too much on your homepage. Having a cluttered page is going to scare your buyer away. A busy page is like a messy room: uninviting. If there is space for your homepage to breathe, it’s more likely that your visitors will stay for the 3-5 seconds it takes for them to figure out if your business is relevant to them or not. More like this, less like this.
5. Above the fold
As with email newsletters, the most important part of your entire website isn’t just your homepage – it’s the part of it that visitors see as soon as they arrive. The ‘fold’ is the cut-off point for their very first look at your homepage, before they start scrolling down and exploring. It’s vital that the information that appears above the fold shows them that they’ve come to the right place. This site is a perfect example.
There’s no such thing as ‘good enough’ in web design. Want to know how to improve your site? Get a free website review from mySmartwebsite

[...] This company DelaRue printed 9 Trillion IQD and they introduced this in October of 2003 and gave the Iraqis 3 months to exchange the old for the new. A total of 4.5 trillion was exchanged and went into circulation and the rest was placed into protective storage.
